Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Mansfield, Texas, is seeking a dedicated individual for a crucial role in quality assurance and machine operation within the molding department. The position involves reading production schedules, performing quality inspections, and training new operators while ensuring a safe and organized workplace.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and experience operating forklifts. This is a 3rd shift position from 12a-8:30a, Monday through Friday.

Job description

Overview

Job Description Position is responsible for ensuring quality processes are adhered and timely movement of products (raw and finished goods). Corrects malfunctions and notifies supervisor or maintenance of abnormal or unusual problems. Will adjust controls or program machine consoles to produce good quality molded plastic containers as required. Handles and inspects finished product for defects and takes corrective action accordingly. Will work 3rd shift 12a-8:30a M-F.

Responsibilities
  • Read production schedules and product specifications. Performs initial setup on all molding machines including resin changes and mold insert/tag changes according to schedule requirements.
  • Start machines by setting controls according to design configuration and process sheets.
  • Performs first good part procedure.
  • Stops equipment and clears jams.
  • Performs dimensional checks of molded parts in accordance with test methods procedures and documents the results.
  • Performs daily quality control inspections and checks and documents the results.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance of product quality to meet the expectations of our customers.
  • Review production schedule and create batch documentation and labels.
  • Helps train new machine operators.
  • Observes and listens to detect common equipment malfunction and takes corrective action (i.e. perform minor repair or adjustment, contacts supervisor).
  • Records all data such as weight, color, material type, insert/tag, machine cycle time, pressure, and temperature on process sheets and set-up sheets.
  • Keeps blow mold room clean and organized.
  • Keep informed of the latest OSHA and related safety procedures for the operation of equipment within the department.
  • Ensures that all non-conforming parts are identified, isolated, quarantined, and that hold tickets are issued. Participates in corrective action for all held products.
  • Keeps all material and product handling equipment clean and assures that all work stations are clean and organized.
  • Relieves personnel for breaks as required.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts and diagrams
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications and test procedures
  • Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills
  • Computer skills are required, familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experienced operating a forklift required
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. – 30 lbs.
