Maola Local Dairies is hiring a Blow Mold Operator for the 3rd shift in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on setting up and operating blow mold equipment, performing weight checks, and ensuring production goals are met.

You will work in a dairy processing environment, adhere to GMP and safety standards, and collaborate with maintenance and production teams to keep lines running smoothly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, clean and operate blow mold equipment to meet daily production goals.
• Perform hourly weight checks and document results; monitor bottling line for jams.
• Operate bailer and clear jams; notify lead or supervisor of issues.
• Assist maintenance as needed and follow GMP and safety procedures.

HOURS: 8:00pm-4:30am. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

HOURLY PAY= $24.00 PER HOUR

SUMMARY

Supports production needs by setting up, adjusting, cleaning and operating blow mold equipment. Daily tasks include weight checks, weight adjustments, tooling changes, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Meet daily production goals.

• Maintains clean work area and equipment.
• Checks bottles for proper weights and performs and records hourly weight checks.
• Monitors the Alpine: clears jams and notifies material handler in bottle room when alpine becomes full.
• Operate bailer and make bails when bailer is full.
• Communicates with the lead person or supervisor when issues arise.
• Assist Maintenance when equipment is down beyond operator scope.
• Follows all Safety Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Fills out proper documentation required by management.
• Other duties may be assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
• Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
