SUMMARY

The Blow Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for serving as a hands on technical resource for resolving equipment problems affecting production and assist with diagnosing production problems The individual in this position is responsible for identifying and resolving tooling and machine related issues identifying corrective actions procuring replacement parts and performing equipment repairs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function

• Serve as a hands on technical resource for resolving equipment problems affecting production and assist with diagnosing production problems
• Identify and resolve tooling and machine related issues identifying corrective actions procure replacement parts and perform equipment repairs
• Perform HVAC maintenance
• Help clean and maintain equipment in like new conditions
• Assist with mold sets and tooling changes
• Perform work order tasks entered into the companys MP2 computerized maintenance management system CMMS
• Train operators and line workers to become maintenance technicians
• Be the first responder if available to and correct all line breakdowns
• Provide prompt notification of any equipment breakdowns
• Conduct line leak reviews and construct hydraulic hoses and water lines
• Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area machines and equipment
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness
• Understand and apply lean manufacturing tools and methodology
• Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance
• Adhere to established company values practices policies and procedures at all times
• Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules laws regulations and standards
• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location

• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude
• Accurately multiply divide add and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

2 or more years of related work experience or a technical degree related to maintenance or other related field or any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the above duties
