Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician (Union) in Massachusetts. You will manufacture blood products, process units into components, and leukoreduce.

Join a team focused on safety, quality, and timely delivery to hospitals. The role requires at least two years in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing setting, strong computer and documentation skills, and the ability to work well in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
• Good computer skills and ability to use laboratory equipment; strong documentation.
• Good communication, teamwork and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and production goals with accurate documentation.
• Maintain inventory throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Perform data entry and operate component production software.
• Analyze information to meet time requirements.
• Perform complex tasks like pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, or deglycerolizing.
• Communicate with internal customers, vendors, volunteers.
• May work weekends/holidays to support hospital needs.
