Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform exacting laboratory measurements on whole blood supernatants and other fluids.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations and repairs on various lab equipment.
• Identify, correct and document problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
• Acquire knowledge of Respiratory Therapy modalities and cardiopulmonary physiology for interpreting data with patient condition.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, therapists and other clinical personnel to achieve optimal patient care.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing exacting laboratory measurements on whole blood supernatants and other fluids.
• Performs preventative maintenance, calibrations and repairs on various lab equipment.
• Identifies, corrects and documents problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting.
• Acquires specialized knowledge of Respiratory Therapy modalities and cardiopulmonary physiology essential for assessing the compatibility of laboratory data to the patient’s condition.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses, therapists and other clinical personnel to achieve optimal patient care
