The ideal candidate has BSN or ASN with relevant RN license, BLS, and prior outpatient or blood-draw clinic experience. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient education, and collaboration within the nursing team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a blood draw clinic or similar setting.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills and knowledge of IV therapies.
  • Active Florida RN license with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care for cancer patients and families.

This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated.The Professional Practice Model graphic and Duffy's caring factors are attached.Moffitt Cancer Center at SouthShore, is a 75,000 square feet full-service outpatient facility designed and equipped to provide the same level of cancer care we provide at our main hospital.The Blood Draw Clinic at Moffitt Cancer Center at SouthShore (MSS) is currently looking for a Registered Nurse.Position Highlights:The Registered Nurse will have responsibilities that include Chemo Blood Platelets; administering IV fluids, IV antibiotics, bladder treatments, IP treatments, and hormonal therapy injections; accessing ports and changing central lines.The Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission, and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to and accountable for personalized patient and family centered care and the concepts of Duffy's quality caring model/caring factors.
