Job summary

The American Red Cross in Stockton, CA is seeking a team member to support the blood collections operation by coordinating supplies and equipment, delivering items, and assisting staff. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliable service to donors and internal teams.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and a valid driver’s license. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds and the ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings,

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the blood collections operation by acquiring, distributing and maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Deliver and return materials to internal and external customers.
  • May train and support other staff as directed.
  • Interact positively with internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

When you join our team,** you will provide support to the collections operation byacquiring,distributingandmaintainingsupplies and equipment used in the day-to-day blood collections operation.You’llalsobe responsible forthe delivery and return of materials to internal and external customersand may provide training and supporttoother staff as directed.**

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCEFORGOOD(Key Responsibilities):

  • Manage blood collection equipment and supplies including boxes,labelsand canteen supplies.Prepare blood collection kitsin accordance withestablished directives.

  • Take inventory and order supplies fromthe warehouse,maintainingcollections’ supply and equipment area. Fill order requisitions from mobile and fixed sites

  • Provide training and support to other staff as directed.

  • Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers

  • May drive blood collection vehicles to load and unload required supplies and equipment where applicable and as needed

Standard Schedule:

  • To best meet the needs of our donors andcommunity,staffworkavariable schedulewhich may includeearly mornings, late nights, weekends,and holidays.

  • Schedule is providedtwo to threeweeks in advance

Pay Information:

  • Starting rate $25.00/hour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED(Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalentisrequired

  • 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & related experiencerequired.

  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills arerequired

  • A current, valid driver’s license witha gooddrivingrecord is required.

  • Ability to carry moderate weight isrequired

  • Operational flexibility isrequiredto meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds of weight; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and work with a variety of chemicals andsolvents.

  • Basic computer skills arerequired. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.
