Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist I (Blood Bank) to perform routine and specialized lab tests on blood and body fluids. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) is required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity lab tests on blood and body fluids.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and document results.
• Conduct instrument checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and coordinate with manufacturers as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and use of PPE per Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and document test results.
• Collect samples and assist phlebotomy duties as required.
