Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is recruiting a full-time advanced fellow at the Research Associate/Acting Instructor level. The year-long fellowship focuses on bone marrow transplantation and immunotherapy, with rotations in outpatient and inpatient BMT and immunotherapy services.

The fellow will start as a primary provider with direct patient care responsibilities and gradually assume clinical team leadership, balancing clinical work with research projects over the 12-month

Qualifications

  • MD/DO degree is required.
  • ABIM eligible or certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology (or foreign equivalent) is required.
  • A fellowship in hematology or hematology-oncology (or foreign equivalent) is preferred.

  • Year-long fellowship program with the goal of becoming an expert in BMT and immunotherapy.
  • Rotations will include outpatient and inpatient BMT (autologous and allogeneic, long-term follow-up, etc.) and immunotherapy services.
  • Fellow will initially function as a primary provider with direct patient care responsibilities and will have increasing levels of clinical team leadership over the course of the year.
  • Approximately 8 months will be devoted to clinical activities with the remaining time available for clinically focused research projects.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology are jointly recruiting a full-time advanced fellow at the Research Associate/Acting Instructor level. This is a full-time, 12-month service period, annual appointment. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligible or certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology (or foreign equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate should have a career interest in hematopoietic cell transplantation and/or immunotherapy and should have completed a fellowship in hematology or hematology-oncology (or foreign equivalent).
Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is from $130,000 to $164,986, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
