The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking experienced individuals to join our Western Regional Crime Laboratory team as a Forensic Scientist I specializing in Blood Alcohol. The role involves using chemical, microscopic, chromatographic, and comparative techniques to examine evidence and prepare reports, with potential court testimony and training responsibilities.

This recruitment establishes an 18-month eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies in Lake Havasu City;

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in biology, chemistry, or closely related sciences with chemistry coursework.
• Demonstrated competency in at least one forensic discipline or sub-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Examine, identify and evaluate physical evidence using chemical, microscopic, chromatographic and comparative techniques.
• Prepare technical reports and provide expert testimony in court; train other forensic scientists; support a Supervising Forensic Scientist.
