Job summary

Code Red Partners is building a dedicated security group focused on protecting crypto infrastructure and backend systems. The team operates across protocol integrations, wallet infrastructure, and smart contract ecosystems to ensure robust defense against evolving threats.

You will work with engineers to design secure architectures, review code and designs, and contribute to tooling that accelerates secure development in a fast-paced crypto environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in security engineering across distributed systems, crypto, or infrastructure.
• Experience threat modeling and securing complex backend systems.
• Strong working knowledge of blockchain systems, especially EVM.
• Solid foundation in application security.
• Familiarity with onchain primitives and workflows (smart contracts, bridges, DEXs).
• Awareness of evolving ecosystem trends and protocol changes.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
• Mentorship or leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps in crypto and infrastructure security, and drive cross-functional initiatives to address them.
• Lead threat modeling, security reviews, and architecture assessments across blockchain integrations and backend systems.
• Partner with engineering teams on secure design and implementation (including smart contract systems).
• Contribute to the development of internal security tooling and long-term roadmap.
• Spot automation opportunities, build proofs of concept, and help productionize solutions.
• Track and assess emerging changes in the ecosystem (new protocols, upgrades, cryptographic techniques).
• Share findings through internal write-ups, research, and knowledge sharing.

We’re partnered with a large-scale platform in the digital asset space where security is absolutely mission-critical. The team is responsible for protecting high-value assets while enabling millions of users to safely interact with blockchain-based systems.

They’re building out a specialized security group focused on securing everything from protocol integrations to wallet infrastructure, and need engineers who can operate deeply across crypto, distributed systems, and application security.

What You’ll Do:
