Job summary

The position reports to the Liquid Processing Supervisor and requires 1–2 years blending/chemical experience, forklift/pallet jack certification, and the ability to work a 12-hour night shift. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1-2 years blending experience preferred.
• 1-2 years chemical experience (chlorine, citric or lactic acid) preferred.
• Knowledge of weights, measures, scales and calibration required.
• Must be forklift and pallet jack certified.
• Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Set up daily brewing production elements, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment before and after each use.
• Pours coffee or tea into the processors, adding the correct amount of acid and ingredients as necessary.
• Maintains lot traceability and documentation.
• Verifies product tags to ensure the correct item is selected to be processed.
• Oversees the brewing process ensuring accuracy and quality are maintained.
• Records the pH level, temperature and duration of brewing.
• Verifies charts at the end of the shift, ensuring peak temperature readings are correct.
• Follows brew sheet into the lab and uses the BRIX reader.
• Conducts taste tests of liquid products.
• Weighs all ingredients in the Liquid Processing Department.
• Conducts CIP procedures at the end of the day, using chemicals to wash, rinse, and sanitize the liquid processors.
• Completes other duties as assigned by management.
