Job description

Job Details Level: Entry, Job Location: Mount Gilead, OH 43338

Purpose

This position is responsible for executing the delivery of daily blend requirements according to production schedules through manufacturing raw materials into a finished product.

Responsibilities
  • Operate tanks that mix various materials.
  • Utilize pumps, filters, and scales throughout the blending process.
  • Maintains quality standards by verifying weight and contents of raw materials before adding them to mixing tanks; conducting in-process batch inspections; documenting all process events; approving product for next step in manufacturing process.
  • Prepares mixer by setting equipment controls, weighing, and loading raw materials into the mixer.
  • Produces product by mixing raw materials, monitoring, and adjusting the mixing process.
  • Accurately complete labels and blend information sheets.
  • Perform all required quality control batch test as outlined in QA specifications. Take samples to QC for approval.
  • Controls raw materials by receiving and verifying order; recording raw materials usage; notify manager when raw material inventory is depleted.
  • Prepares for next batch by cleaning mixing equipment.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Required to use proper PPE when needed.
  • Ensure safe transport and storage of materials.
  • Help to reduce company costs by eliminating reprocessing procedures.
  • Regulate and shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Working knowledge of oil blends and viscosity.
  • Ability to read and understand oil analysis.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills.
  • Capable of muti-tasking and interacting with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well independently but also within a teamwork environment.
  • Proficient math skills with the understanding of percentages and ratios.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Other Information
  • Possess an active driver’s license.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds.
