Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a motivated worker to support metal finishing operations in a high-temperature shop environment. You will prioritize jobs, inspect parts before, during, and after processing, and select media according to specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include completing required paperwork, enforcing PPE and safety guidelines, keeping a clean workspace, disposing of waste properly, and handling parts with care to prevent damage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow processing guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with potential high temperatures.
• Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and waste disposal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determine priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing.
• Inspection of the part before, during, and after processing.
• Select appropriate media according to specifications and customer requirements.
• Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
• Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed.
• Maintain a clean working area at all times by disposing of any unnecessary trash.
• Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
• Competently process parts with little or no supervision
• Practice behavior which avoids damage to parts and protects the part from damage.
• Other duties as assigned
