Job summary

Aggregate Resource Industries, Inc. (ARI) is seeking a Blaster Apprentice to begin a hands-on career in blasting, rock drilling, and mining support roles.

You will learn from experienced blasting professionals, assist with blast preparation, explosive handling, vibration monitoring, equipment operation, and field support while building the technical knowledge for a successful career in blasting. This entry-level position requires outdoor work, travel, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass ATF background check for explosives handling.
• Pre-employment drug test and physical; zero-tolerance policy.
• Travel away from home is required; transportation provided.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver's license with up to 3 moving violations in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Blast preparation assistance with Blaster in Charge.
• Explosive handling and detonation support.
• Stemming materials packing and confinement.
• Vibration monitoring setup and operation.
• Operate support equipment (reach lifts, skid steers).
• Drone operation to capture blasting footage.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites.
• Pre- and post-blast safety checks and material handling.
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Collaborate on field tasks as directed.
