Job summary

Transco Rail Services is hiring a Blaster in Miles City, MT. You will operate blasting equipment to remove rust and paint from railcars and related equipment, in a TEAM environment where safety always comes first.

You must pass a drug screen and physical, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work under varying weather conditions. Training and benefits startday one with a path for growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment to remove scale, paint and other foreign materials from railcars and related equipment.
• Prepare surfaces of railcars and components using blast media methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance on blast and recovery systems.
• Maintain clean and orderly materials and work areas; report hazards.
• Work with regular and predictable attendance in a team setting.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Blaster to operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint and other foreign materials from the interior and exterior of railcars and its related equipment. This is a role where you will work in a TEAM environment where safety always comes first.

Job Requirements:

• Operate blasting equipment to remove scale, paint and other foreign substances from inside and/or outside of railcars and other materials to prime, paint and stencil the interior and/or exterior surfaces of railcars or equipment.
• Adjust equipment as necessary to perform efficient and proper blasting.
• Surface preparation of non-finished railcars and components using various blast media methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures for blast and recovery systems.
• The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
• Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.
• Able to pass drug screen, physical.
