Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs in Goddard, Kansas, is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise pool activities and ensure member safety. You will maintain cleanliness, monitor chemical levels, and respond to emergencies.

This role requires CPR/First Aid and Lifeguarding certifications, plus strong communication and teamwork. You will work with the Aquatics Coordinator to cover shifts, support club operations, and provide a welcoming, safe environment for guests.

• Maintain pool deck cleanliness and assist with chemical testing and logging as per guidelines.

• Pool deck is always clean and safe, free from debris and dangers.

• Pool water is clean and clear; Lifeguard participates in scheduled and assigned deep cleaning duties, scrubbing of tiles, and vacuuming.

• Maintain appropriate chemical levels, water temps and record keeping; Lifeguard tests and logs chemical levels and water temps according to the facility guidelines and schedules.

• Maintain strong working relationship with the Aquatics Coordinator and communicate facility issues to Maintenance Team using the ticketing system.

1. The Lifeguard performs rescue, CPR, and administered first aid as needed.

2. The Lifeguard communicates scheduling availability to the Aquatics Coordinator and is responsible for securing adequate coverage for assigned shifts when needed.

3. The Lifeguard is aware of club hours, facility rules, events and schedules, and answers member/guest questions effectively.

4. The Lifeguard participates in staff meetings and in-services as scheduled in support of effective operations.
