Job summary

3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting is seeking a Blast Crew Laborer to assist with blast-hole loading operations and field blasting sites across Nevada and Utah. This full-time role requires safety focus, outdoor work, and adherence to procedures.

The position involves travel to Las Vegas, NV; St. George, UT; Hurricane, UT; and Henderson, NV, with both standard-rate and prevailing wage projects. Overtime and benefits apply. A strong driving history and ATF background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of blasting or blast-hole loading experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to pass ATF background check.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to project locations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety for yourself, coworkers, and the job site.
• Assist with blasting operations from preparation through completion.
• Load ANFO according to designed load heights and project specifications.
• Properly stem blast holes.
• Tie and time blast patterns according to design requirements.
• Understand different explosive products and their proper applications.
• Install air decks as specified.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and project leadership.
• Complete daily digital paperwork accurately and on time.
• Identify ground conditions and their impact on blasting operations.
• Maintain productivity standards while working independently when needed.
• Support overall crew performance and project goals.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.
• Complete pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Work outdoors in changing weather conditions and rugged terrain.

Location: Based out of Las Vegas, NV; St. George, UT; Hurricane, UT; and Henderson, NV (Lakemoor Project). Travel to assigned job sites is required.

We are seeking a full-time Blast Crew Laborer to assist with blast-hole loading operations and field blasting activities throughout Nevada and Utah. This position is a great fit for someone with previous blasting or blast-hole loading experience who is safety-focused, dependable, comfortable working outdoors, and able to maintain quality and production standards while following established procedures.

Assignments may include both standard-rate and prevailing wage projects based on current project requirements.

• Willingness and ability to travel or relocate to project locations as needed
• Availability to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors in remote and challenging environments, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and professionalism

Pay & Benefits

• Full-time position
• Standard project pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Prevailing wage project pay: up to $65.27 per hour, including applicable fringe benefits, when assigned to qualifying prevailing wage projects
• Compensation is based on the wage requirements of the specific project assignment
