Experienced Blankets and Monuments Shipside Support Engineer – VC-25B Interiors Development team – San Antonio, TX.
All submitted candidates should be available to work 1st or 2nd Shift (1st: 5:30am – 2:00pm; 2nd: 1:30pm – 10:00pm).
The Interiors Development team is looking for an individual with experience in aircraft shipside support and blankets design. This position requires proficiency in shipside support, blankets design and discrepancy disposition, and factory shipside support. Familiarity with company processes, aerospace defense platforms, and VIP modifications is desired. Position will require flexibility with factory demands, including alternate shifts as needed to support the factory.
Position will require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted.
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
