Job summary

Vermont Precision Tools, Swanton, VT, USA, is seeking a 1st Shift VPT-Black Oxide - Class X Support to assist with black oxide operations and prepare products for inventory. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Responsibilities include prepping parts, buffing, verifying dimensions, material handling, and operating the Black Oxide Room with forklift/pallet jack certification. Benefits include weekly payroll, medical/dental, PTO after 90 days, and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform manual labor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to pass training and maintain forklift and pallet jack certifications.
• First shift availability, Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Preparing parts for production including pulling and washing raw material.
• Buffing, facing, and chamfering parts; verifying sizes against routing cards.
• Handling, moving, and collecting of raw material and finished products.
• Loading and unloading baskets for the Cryogenic process.
• Final inspection and proper startup/ shutdown of Black Oxide Room equipment; calibrating pH tester; performing in-process manufacturing.
