Job summary

Aegis AI in San Francisco is seeking a leader for Business Operations to align people, processes, and data with rapid product development. You will act as the connective tissue for the CEO and founding team, turning chaos into order and driving high-leverage initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to scale teams and processes and work directly with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating rhythm of the company, drive OKRs/KPIs, and lead executive meeting agendas.
• Design scalable processes spanning CRM, GTM workflows, and internal knowledge management.
• Break down silos between Product, Engineering, and GTM; resolve friction points quickly.
• Lead strategic projects including international expansion and deployment of new tooling.
• Draft clear, data-driven updates for the board and stakeholders.

The Role

As the leader of Business Operations, you will be the primary operational force multiplier for our CEO and the founding team. You are a systems-builder tasked with ensuring the company’s internal machinery—people, processes, and data—moves at the same lightning speed as our product development.

This is a high-visibility role designed for someone who thrives on turning chaos into order. You will act as the "connective tissue" for the leadership team, lead special projects that optimize our go-to-market and engineering workflows, implement the systems that allow us to scale, and ensure we are focused on the highest-leverage initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operational Force Multiplication: Own the operating rhythm of the company. Drive the goal-setting process (OKRs/KPIs), lead the agenda for executive meetings and offsites, and ensure team alignment across all business functions.
• Systems & Process Design: Design and implement the scalable processes that underpin a high-growth company. From CRM/GTM workflows and internal knowledge management to project management standards, you will build the "operating system" for Aegis AI.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Break down silos between Product, Engineering, and GTM. Identify friction points in our development or sales cycles and resolve them before they slow us down.
• Strategic Special Projects: Take ownership of complex, "white space" problems that don't fit neatly into any one department. This could range from operationalizing our international expansion to leading the implementation of new internal AI tooling.
• Strategic Communication: Draft board decks, company-wide memos, and operational updates. You will be responsible for synthesizing complex internal data into clear, compelling narratives that drive focus and accountability.

Who You Are

• High Agency & Low Ego: You are a "fixer." You don't need a playbook—you write it. You are equally comfortable whiteboarding a complex operational workflow with leadership or executing the nitty-gritty administrative tasks required to keep a startup moving.
• 4-7+ Years of Experience: Likely from a high-growth startup (BizOps/Ops), top-tier consulting firm, or corporate strategy team. You have a proven track record of scaling teams or processes.
• Analytical & Systems-Oriented: You have a "systems-thinking" mindset. You love data, you understand how to design efficient workflows, and you are comfortable with the tools that power modern SaaS businesses (CRM, project management, analytics stacks).
• The "General Manager" Mindset: You act like a true owner. You are relentlessly focused on operational efficiency and ROI. This role is a direct path to a future Chief of Staff, VP of Operations, or COO role.
• Master Communicator: You possess the rare ability to translate high-level strategy into actionable, day-to-day work for teams, while keeping Tier-1 investors and stakeholders informed with absolute clarity.
