Job summary

Slate Auto in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager, Body in White to lead supplier quality for BIW components, drive PPAP completion, dimensional and weld compliance, and readiness for production launches.

The role requires 10+ years in supplier quality, BIW experience, and strong leadership. You will coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure quality standards and milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equiv. with 10+ years of supplier quality experience in BIW.
• Experience with PPAP management, APQP, dimensional and appearance compliance.
• Experience leading a team of SQEs and coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage PPAP submissions and approval status across BIW supply base.
• Drive dimensional, weld, and structural compliance and containment actions.
• Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers aligned to BIW commodities throughout launch to production.
