Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking a BIW Standards Specialist to ensure BIW standards and lessons learned are implemented across multiple programs. You will lead design to manufacturing proposals and align architecture with PDP requirements.

Collaborating with PDO and Advanced Engineering, you will publish BIW Quadri, vertical integration maps, and process maps before program approval to ensure alignment with definition and manufacturing feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in automotive with BIW sequence knowledge.
• Experience with BIW tooling/process, GD&T and tolerances.
• Strong CAD knowledge: Teamcenter and Vis Mockup.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

The BIW Standards Specialist will ensure BIW Standards and lessons learned are implemented for multiple new programs. They will lead the development of Design to Manufacturing Proposals and implement them. They will co locate within PDO and Advanced Engineering teams to ensure Product Standards are adhered to and Architecture is feasible. Collaborate with Advanced Process Team and lead the creation and publishing of initial BIW Quadri, Vertical Integration and Process Maps before Program Approval to ensure alignment with Program Definition. They will ensure critical Product Standards and manufacturing requirements are including in the sections before top hat morph is initiated. Ensure BIW Product Standards are maintained, updated, and improved based on lessons learned and benchmarking and drive their applications to future programs. Rapidly execute product standards violation issue discovery / issue communication / issue closure. Ensure product designs will accommodate standard Bill of process and protect for reuse of assets and tooling. They will work with the Pre Advanced Team to ensure the coupled projects have all manufacturing requirements incorporated for optimum solutions / decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5+ years' working in the automotive industry including the following knowledge/experience:BIW sequence and process
  
• Assembly Plant Body Shop experience including BIW Tooling / Process
  GD&T, PLP's and tolerances
• Strong knowledge of CAD Systems such as Teamcenter and Vis Mockup
  
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Design and Advanced Vehicle Engineering
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
