Job summary

York General is seeking a friendly Bistro Attendant to join our Culinary Services team on a part-time basis. You will help prepare, serve, and present bistro-style meals while delivering warm, resident-focused service to our Assisted Living and Independent Living communities.

You’ll work in a welcoming dining area, assist with food prep and restock, operate the POS system (training provided), and adapt to multiple dining environments.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic math and customer-service skills.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and a strong team spirit.
• Flexibility to work in multiple dining environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and present bistro-style meals, snacks, and beverages
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and visitors
• Assist with maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized dining area
• Support food prep and restock supplies as needed
• Operate point-of-sale system (training provided)
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and food storage to keep the café running smoothly
• Adapt to duties in both Assisted Living and Independent Living dining areas
