As a Birthing Center Registered Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care for mothers, newborns, and families during some of life's most important moments.
What You'll Do
- Perform maternal and newborn assessments throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Monitor patients during labor and delivery while recognizing and responding appropriately to changing maternal and fetal conditions.
- Provide newborn care, assessments, and education that promote healthy outcomes and family confidence.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, lactation specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards of practice.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, newborn care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
- Support patient safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care activities to ensure continuity, communication, and positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote positive, family-centered birth experiences while supporting the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualities
- Labor and delivery experience.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Fetal monitoring expertise.
- Women's health experience.
- Experience caring for mothers and newborns in an LDRP environment.

Education, Certifications & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Additional maternal-child certifications encouraged and supported through ongoing professional development.
