Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an Event Sales Manager for Birthday Party Sales to lead our group-event initiatives. This salaried management role partners with clients, coordinates site tours, menus, and contracts, and drives leads with the sales team and events team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Applicants should have inbound sales experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours; a HS diploma and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with unit operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
• Represent AIKG at hospitality and trade events to promote the brand and generate leads.
• Process POS purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver an exceptional guest/event experience with proactive recovery when needed.
• Uphold the highest standards of product quality and service excellence.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and guests.
• Identify new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and market analysis.
• Establish meaningful connections and cultivate relationships with potential clients.
• Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales goals.
• Generate leads and execute timely, effective follow-up.

Birthday Sales Manager

Reports to: General Manager/Senior Sales Manager

Position Overview

The Sales Manager plays a key role in leading and supporting the Sales Team in executing targeted programs designed to drive pre-sold group business. This position is responsible for selling and managing group events and/or birthdays, while ensuring every interaction reflects the quality and ethical standards of AIKG and upholds the integrity of the Andretti brand. This is a salaried management role with the potential to earn substantial commissions based on performance.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience with inbound Sales
• Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Energetic and guest-focused with a commitment to operational excellence

Preferred:

• Minimum of two years of sales experience within the hospitality or family entertainment industry
• Passion for and familiarity with virtual reality, arcade games, and motorsports
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively manage team members at all levels

Benefits

• Base salary from $38,000 - $42,000
• Earn 2% commission on every sale you close, plus a quarterly bonus equal to 1% of revenue exceeding your budget targets

Physical Requirements

• Walk or stand for extended periods of time
• The ability to communicate quickly and accurately
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs on a regular basis
• Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and occasional stocking up to 50lbs
• The work environment may include bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
• Be able to understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times
