Job summary

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA in Scotch Plains, NJ is seeking an energetic Birthday Party Instructor to lead themed parties and create a welcoming, memorable experience for children. You will set up, run activities, assist with guest check-in, and ensure a safe, fun environment.

The role is part-time/non-exempt with Saturday availability; pay starts at $18.03 per hour, with benefits such as free YMCA membership and flexible schedules.

• Ability to relate effectively to children of all ages

Responsibilities

• Set up, lead, and clean up birthday parties, ensuring a fun and organized experience from start to finish
• Lead children through a planned program of age-appropriate activities - sports, ninja, pool or gymnastics
• Welcome party guests and assist with check-in and other guest needs
• Provide friendly, responsive service to children, families, and guests
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized party area
• Serve food, beverages, and cake to party guests
• Help create a positive, energetic environment where every child feels included and celebrated

Do you love working with children and creating fun, memorable experiences? We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging Birthday Party Instructors to bring the fun to life! In this role, you’ll lead children through exciting activities, create a welcoming and positive environment, and help make each birthday celebration a special experience for all.

Must be available to work Saturdays.
