Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to support Birth through Kindergarten. You will provide pediatric OT services, develop plans of care, and help children build foundational play, learning, and participation skills.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work with families, teachers, and other professionals to implement IFSPs and IEPs, monitor progress, and adapt activities to each child’s needs, promoting independence and school readiness.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• State OT license.
• School-based AND/OR Pediatric based experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide birth-to-kindergarten OT services including assessments and plans of care.
• Support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school readiness.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support goals and participation.
• Document IFSPs and IEPs as appropriate.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

As a Birth-Kindergarten OT, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during some of the most important years of a child's development. You'll support children as they develop the skills needed to play, learn, communicate, participate in routines, and become more independent.

You'll provide individualized occupational therapy services based on each child's needs and plan of care, including IFSPs and IEPs, as appropriate. Your day may include developmental assessments, therapy through play and everyday routines, and support for fine motor development, sensory processing, visual-motor skills, self-care, motor planning, and school readiness.

You'll also collaborate closely with families, teachers, early childhood professionals, and other members of the child's support team to help children reach their developmental goals and participate as fully as possible in their environments.
