Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced professional to lead end-to-end evaluation and execution of strategic transactions, including licensing, M&A, and asset partnerships. You will partner with senior leadership, use advanced valuation methods, and synthesize insights for the Board and investors.

The role requires 2–4 years in management consulting, a strong background in finance/science, and ability to translate clinical and commercial insights into diligence-grade

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, finance, economics, or related analytical discipline (required).
• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 2-4 years of management consulting experience with progression to team leadership (Engagement Manager or equivalent) required.
• Experience conducting commercial diligence on biotechnology assets is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end evaluation and execution of strategic transactions from framing through diligence and negotiation support.
• Partner with senior leadership on business and financial decisions using scenario modeling.
• Apply advanced valuation frameworks to inform investment decisions and transaction structuring.
• Synthesize analyses into clear recommendations for senior leadership, Board, and external stakeholders.
• Support investor relations with Street models analysis and earnings preparation.
