Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics, Inc is hiring an Associate Director of Procurement to build and scale the supply chain function at the San Diego headquarters. The role reports to the SVP of Finance and collaborates across departments to enhance procurement operations in biotech and pharma settings.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ERP systems such as Coupa or NetSuite.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in supply chain, business, life sciences or related field.
MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred and will be a differentiator.

Responsibilities

Define and execute a company-wide procurement strategy aligned with platform needs and objectives.
Build and mentor a small procurement team as the organization scales.
Position procurement as a strategic function influencing cross-functional decisions.
Develop long-term sourcing for categories including lab automation, CRO/CDMO, reagents and systems.
Establish strategic supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance.
Lead complex negotiations including MSAs and multi-year contracts.
Drive vendor program optimization for quality, cost and scalability.
Oversee ERP/procurement platform implementation and data migration.
