Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Milwaukee, WI seeks a highly motivated Intellectual Property Associate with at least two years of life sciences patenting experience. You will prepare, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications, conduct freedom-to-operate analyses, and advise clients on portfolio strategy throughout the product lifecycle.

A Ph.D. in biological sciences is preferred. Candidates must be registered to practice before the USPTO and admitted to at least one state bar.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a patent attorney in biotechnology.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO in good standing.
• Admission to at least one State bar.
• Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to biologics or large-molecule technologies.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in the life sciences sector.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate, IP due diligence, infringement, validity, and patent landscape searches and analyses.
• Advise clients on patent issues throughout the product lifecycle, including portfolio management and patent enforcement.
• Collaborate with clients, USPTO, and foreign associates on prosecution matters.
• Contribute to a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and client service.
