Job summary

Locus Fermentation Solutions, based in Solon, OH, seeks a Director of Operations to provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for fermentation, production, and related operations. You will guide cross-functional teams to meet current demands and prepare for future growth, ensuring safety, quality, and cost discipline across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes developing scalable processes, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with senior leadership to align operational priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive operations, manufacturing, production, process engineering, or related experience with leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years of experience leading managers, supervisors, or technical/operations teams in manufacturing or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for fermentation, production, agricultural, and related activities.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to meet growth, production, and financial goals.
• Establish long-term plans including capacity, staffing, and infrastructure improvements.
• Partner with VP Operations and leaders to set priorities and KPIs.
• Translate company objectives into departmental strategies and measurable KPIs.
• Lead Operations leadership and ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives.
