Job summary

Genentech in California is seeking a Program Manager to drive drug development programs from Late Stage Research through Proof of Concept. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, maintain integrated schedules, and ensure timely decision points with stakeholders.

A life sciences degree with 5–8 years of biotech/pharma experience is required, along with direct project management experience and knowledge of the drug development process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline; 5-8 years multi-disciplinary experience in biotech/pharma. Advanced degree desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain integrated program schedules for accurate analyses and inputs into business planning.
  • Oversee program team budget including resources and costs with Finance and cross-functional partners.
  • Communicate, document and archive program team activities; act as primary contact for program information.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks with scenario planning and mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate program team meetings and cross-functional decision making with stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline team and business processes.
  • Support high-level performance by contributing to team management best practices.
