Job summary

Ray Therapeutics, Inc. seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team in Berkeley, CA. The role requires 3 days in-office per week and offers a path to scalable, compliant AP processes in a fast-moving biotech environment.

You will manage full-cycle AP using Bill.com, Concur, QuickBooks and NetSuite, ensure proper coding for R&D and G&A, and contribute to SOX-compliant controls. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of AP experience, with biotech exposure, are preferred;

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AP or accounting experience.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences preferred.
• Knowledge of 1099 reporting and audit support processes.
• Experience with Concur and NetSuite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable using Bill.com, Concur, QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Support AP processes to handle growing vendor volume.
• Manage AP inbox; respond to vendor inquiries and payment requests.
• Ensure accurate expense coding across R&D and G&A cost centers.
• Maintain AP policies including 3-way match and approvals workflows.
• Support AP close activities, including accruals for legal, consulting and R&D spend.
• Validate tax forms (W-9) and vendor data during onboarding/maintenance.
• Ensure 1099 reporting compliance and year-end filings.
• Foster relationships with biotech vendors and external partners.
• Assist in establishing SOX-compliant AP processes.
