Job summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a motivated post-bachelor's student to perform research across Genomics & Bio-analytics, Microbial & Biome Sciences, and Biochemistry & Biotechnology in the Bioscience Division. You will collaborate with scientists, technicians and students on projects involving exposure science, bio-sample analysis, method development, data acquisition and processing.
The internship offers opportunities to extend into LANL positions or further education, with
Qualifications
- General background in biology, chemistry, or analytical sciences.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively execute new laboratory skills.
- Demonstrated competency with computers and software applications for word processing, data processing, and data visualization.
- Ability to maintain and record work, data, and follow detailed protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and report results to team and mentors.
- Attend group meetings and participate in seminars.
- Craft peer-reviewed publications and assist in grant proposals.
