Duration:

12-month contract (strong possibility of extension)

Work Hours:

40 hours/week; standard schedule 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, though 7:00 AM-3:00 PM is also acceptable.

Hiring Focus

The Hiring Manager is looking for a BIOS/Firmware Engineer with beginner to intermediate level experience. This is a backfill position supporting firmware, BIOS, and Linux kernel development/debugging for AI-related platform work.

Must-Have Skills

• BIOS/Firmware development and debugging
• Early Silicon Bring-up
• Emulation
• Linux OS / Linux Kernel debugging and implementation
• C programming
• Coreboot, EDK / EDK II
• Basic understanding of CPU and GPU architecture
• Experience with OEM platforms, including laptop, desktop, and PCIe slot design/platforms
• Knowledge of Pre-BIOS / boot firmware environments
• Familiarity with open-source Linux firmware debugging tools such as:
• JTAG
• GDB
• Firmware test/read tools

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to AI technologies (a plus)
• Candidates with prior experience at Intel, Acer, Toshiba, Asus, AMD or similar OEM/semiconductor companies are highly preferred.

Additional Notes

• Strong firmware/BIOS debugging and implementation experience is important.
