Job summary

Mykelly is recruiting a Manufacturing Specialist for a premier biotechnology organization in Houston, TX. This role operates in a GMP-regulated environment focused on biopharmaceutical production, preclinical and clinical programs, and advancing gene therapy research.

You will operate manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment for production of biopharmaceuticals, conduct large-scale cell culture, and assist with viral vector purification while maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Experience in GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience with cell culture, chromatography, and aseptic processing.
• Strong documentation and CAPA/quality systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment for production of biopharmaceuticals.
• Perform large-scale cell culture with single-use bioreactor systems.
• Contribute to viral vector purification using process-scale chromatography equipment.
• Prepare buffers and staging materials; maintain cleanroom documentation.
• Assist validation, data collection, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Write/review SOPs and change controls; participate in safety programs.
