Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Bioprocess Development specialist to provide technical oversight for drug substance production at the K360 facility. You will collaborate with development, operations, automation, and maintenance to ensure compliant, efficient processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 1+ year purification experience, and proven ability to communicate clearly across teams. Occasional weekends may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related discipline.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in large molecule protein purification techniques (pilot scale).
  • Experience with tech transfers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team with diverse functional relationships and be accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead incoming/outgoing process tech transfers; prepare transfer docs, batch records, materials.
  • Oversee scheduling of key tasks in operations; identify/process changes and improvements.
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental assessments during tech transfers.
  • Monitor ongoing campaigns or in-process equipment.
  • Contribute to cGMP and PRD Quality System master production records; review batch records.
