Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Custom Consumable Engineer to design and develop single-use assemblies for bioprocessing in Duncan, SC. The role reports to the Upstream Consumable Engineering Manager and is an on-site position.

You will own design, testing, and documentation, ensuring compliance with QMS and Change Control while advancing process improvements in collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Bio, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 2+ years in mechanical engineering or biotech.
• Proficiency in CAD and technical documentation.
• Familiar with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and release single-use consumables (components, packaging, tooling, fixtures).
• Develop and maintain project documentation within the QMS.
• Own project timelines and keep stakeholders updated.
• Follow QMS and Change Control processes to ensure quality and compliance.
• Use engineering judgment to continually improve processes and product outcomes.
