Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Equity Research team is seeking an experienced Associate or VP-level member to join the Pharma and Biotech group in New York. The role involves building financial models, writing research notes and engaging with institutional investors to discuss data and findings.

The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years in research/finance, strong Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization skills, and an advanced life sciences degree; MBA/CPA/CFA are pluses.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of professional experience in Research, Finance, Accounting, and/or Healthcare/Biopharma industry.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for building/maintaining financial models.
• Experience writing equity research notes/reports; professional communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain earnings, valuation and industry models using accounting, finance and economics.
• Assist in writing research reports for initiations, data analysis, earnings results and industry news.
• Leverage all resources to create differentiated content for research reports (company-specific or industry).
• Interact with institutional investors, respond to requests for models, reports and data analysis.
• Monitor industry news flow and analyze implications for coverage.
