Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering required.
  • 5–7 years of biomedical engineering technology experience.
  • Strong ability to interpret circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • Leadership and clear communication to guide peers.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on specialized electronic equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions.
  • Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.
  • Repair and replace complex biomedical electronic equipment and systems.
  • Install and adjust a variety of electronic biomedical and research equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision.
  • Function as the senior technologist to provide guidance and mentorship to other BMETs.
