Job summary

TRIMEDX is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician in Chicago to own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for clinicians.

The role requires at least 3 years in a clinical engineering environment, strong electronics/diagnostics skills, and an associate degree or equivalent; CBET preferred. Travel and a valid license are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering environment.
• Strong technical skills (systems, diagnostics, hardware repair, error code interpretation).
• Associate degree in electronics/technical field or equivalent experience (or TRIMEDX certification).
• CBET Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.
• Applicants can expect a compensation range of $27-$31 for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment—keeping care uninterrupted.
• Ensure critical medical equipment is safe, accurate, and ready when clinicians need it.
• Guide clinicians on safe, effective equipment use.
• Strengthen operations through accurate documentation, compliance, and smart inventory control.
