Job summary

Piedmont is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain medical equipment, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance to safeguard patient and staff safety. The role includes ensuring electrical safety and contributing to the Environment of Care compliance.

The position requires an Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent military Biomed Tech program, plus HTM experience and applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Equivalent Military Biomed Tech Program is acceptable as substitute.
• Two (2) years of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) experience required.
• Industry recognized Certifications: AAMI / ACI CBET, CRES, CLES are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical related equipment including repair and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure electrical safety to protect patient and staff.
• Support Environment of Care compliance and assist clinicians with equipment diagnostics.

• Industry recognized Certification (AAMI / ACI CBET, CRES, CLES)

• 2 years of HTM experience Required
• In lieu of degree four (4) years of total experience Required
