Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One year of experience required.
  • Masters preferred in biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, or bioscience degree program.
  • Experience working with SAS, SPSS, or S-Plus.
  • Experience teaching statistics and statistical programming.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in defining the scope and intent of the research project and assists in the experimental design of the studies.
  • Implements laboratory experiments and records data.
  • Participates in the analysis of data and assists in writing research papers describing the studies and results.
  • Performs molecular biology techniques and trains others in the laboratory as necessary.
  • Oversees the maintenance of equipment and ordering/stocking of consumable supplies.
  • Performs literature searches in pursuit of new techniques to expand relevant basic knowledge.
  • Maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues to contribute to goals and a positive work environment.
