Job summary

West Liberty University invites applications for two full-time Research Assistant positions in biomedical research. The roles support experimental work, laboratory operations, and mentorship of undergraduate researchers in a collaborative laboratory setting.

Successful candidates will contribute to experimental design, data analysis, and safety compliance while gaining hands-on experience alongside faculty researchers and students in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• 1–2 years lab/research experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific experiments and record/analyze data.
• Manage lab inventory and order supplies.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment (microscopes, spectrometers, centrifuges).
• Prepare media and maintain bacterial cultures and cell lines.
• Mentor undergraduate researchers in designing and performing experiments.
• Maintain notebooks and prepare graphs, tables, and summaries.
