Job summary

Stryker recruits Biomedical Engineering interns in Indiana to join R&D teams and contribute to new product development and product engineering. Interns work with cross-functional teams to identify needs, explore technologies, and drive concepts from idea to production using CAD/FEA and testing labs.

You will be mentored by leaders, gain exposure to executives, and participate in a culture of innovation that advances healthcare. A BS or MS in a related field is targeted for applicants.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and remain enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (verified at hire).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. with no sponsorship required now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate and build relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interns will be placed in one of the R&D teams (New Product Development or Product Engineering).
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify needs, goals, and regulatory considerations; research new technologies and customer needs.
• Utilize CAD/FEA and testing labs to design, develop, and iterate product concepts from concept to production.
