Hologic in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to drive new product development of medical equipment from concept through design transfer. You will apply sound engineering judgment and customer-centered design to create cost-conscious frames, skins, and mechanical interfaces under guidance.

You will design in SolidWorks, perform tolerance analyses, and collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing engineers, and project teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with R&D experience in the medical device industry.
• 2 years of work experience in health or business communities with Bachelor’s Degree; 0-2 years with Master’s Degree

Aufgaben

• Perform mechanical design and project tasks of simple to moderate complexity for new product development, under direction.
• Support development of product frames and skins, focusing on manufacturability and cost.
• Create and update SolidWorks parts, assemblies, and drawings reflecting design intent.
• Support design and integration of electromechanical components, including pumps and console frame.
• Apply risk-management tools to identify and mitigate design and process risks during development.
• Prepare engineering deliverables and participate in design reviews and project meetings.
• Assist prototype builds, manufacturing transfer, and production-readiness activities.
