Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree with knowledge of biotechnology/biomedical industry.
• Applicable military experience may qualify.
• 2-5 years of relevant technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Residency in or near San Antonio, TX, within commuting distance to the airport.
• Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills.
• Good technical writing abilities.
• Knowledge of installation, spare parts management, issue resolution, and service operation measurement.
• Ability to operate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot medical/device systems.
• Ability to use and interpret data and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support Blood Management Centers and Hospitals onsite in the field.
• Provide ongoing customer support.
• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems in the defined territory.
• Respond to service requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage spare parts and resolve product and service issues.
• Act as the focal point for customer troubleshooting and follow-up.
• Coordinate new system placements, provide technical assistance, develop leads, promote upgrades, and support contract renewals.
• Provide technical direction and onsite customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, repair, logistics, troubleshooting, data interpretation, and technical instructions.
• Assist the quality team with data collection and timely reporting for performance analysis.
• Manage service parts inventory levels.
• Complete required documentation in SFDC on the same day as service.
• Edit, write, and modify Service and Training manuals and SOPs.
