Job summary

Avobus Equipment LLC is seeking a dependable Biomedical Equipment Technician to inspect, test, calibrate, maintain, and repair medical equipment. The technician will support customer service requests, outstanding orders, and Avobus inventory while maintaining accurate service records and meeting applicable safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in biomedical equipment technology or related field.
• Prior testing, calibration, troubleshooting or repair of medical equipment preferred.
• Ability to read service manuals and follow technical procedures.
• Experience using common biomedical test equipment and documenting service activity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments to completion.
• Professional communication and teamwork with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• CBET or related certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair medical equipment per manufacturer guidance.
• Perform functional testing, preventive maintenance, electrical safety testing, and calibration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions for service requests and orders.
• Document inspections, test results, maintenance, repairs, and equipment condition.
• Follow FDA, Joint Commission and other safety/compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with management, suppliers, and technical support regarding parts and repairs.
• Evaluate equipment condition and lifecycle status; recommend repair or upgrade.
• Communicate repair status and next steps to internal teams and customers.
• Maintain organized, safe work area and care for test equipment and customer property.
