Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in the United States is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to ensure the safe, reliable operation of vital medical devices. You will inspect, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical equipment, while maintaining accurate service records and supporting clinical staff.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical program in electrical, biomedical, or mechanical engineering, or related field.
Technical school certificate or equivalent training may be required.
Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Performs significant preventive maintenance, safety tests, and calibration for equipment.
Provides equipment repair within the assigned area.
Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders.
Assists in ordering parts and supplies necessary for servicing equipment.
Effectively communicates and partners with teammates and clinical staff.
